2016 Campaign Report
Thank you for your support!
United Way of Venango County exceeded its $300,000 Annual Community Campaign goal this year by $18,613…this represents an increase of nearly 8% over the previous year’s campaign total! The funds raised will benefit approximately one-quarter of Venango County residents (more than 13,700 people) via some 26 programs provided by 15 Community Partners who assist residents with food, shelter, health, counseling, education, and other needs.
“The United Way extends a big thank you to our thousands of donors. We are hard at work to ensure that your contributions are being used wisely and effectively to support those most in need in our community,” said Will Price, Executive Director of UWVC. “We all have a stake in creating a healthy and prosperous community. It’s heartwarming to know we can count on the support of our community.” Campaign Co-Chair Corrina Woods (also Executive Director of Youth Alternatives) added, “We are fortunate to live in an area where businesses and individuals understand that we will only grow and prosper as a community if all families are financially stable.” Per-donor gifts averaged $340 this year, compared to $291 in 2015.
This campaign success will go a long way towards helping UWVC achieve its “Bold Goal” of reducing the number of Venango County residents struggling to meet their health, education, and income needs by 3,000 before the year 2025.
